About this tool

This Markdown export tool gives you a live preview as you write, then exports a styled HTML file or saves as PDF through the browser print dialog. It supports headings, lists, bold/italic, inline and block code, blockquotes, tables and links.

It is great for turning a Markdown document, README or notes into a shareable PDF or web page. All rendering and exporting happen locally; content is not uploaded.

How to use

  1. Type or paste Markdown in the left editor; the right side previews live.
  2. Click Export HTML to download a styled web page file.
  3. Click Export PDF to open the print window.
  4. In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination and save.

When to use it

  • Export a Markdown report or guide to PDF to send to someone.
  • Turn a project README into a styled web page or PDF.
  • Tidy meeting notes or study notes into a clean document.
  • Get a neatly formatted Markdown render for printing.

FAQ

Why does Export PDF open a print window?

The browser's built-in "Print → Save as PDF" preserves the page styling faithfully without a heavy extra library, so it is used to make the PDF. Just pick "Save as PDF" in the dialog.

Nothing happens when I click Export PDF?

The browser likely blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for this site and retry, or use Export HTML and print it yourself.

Which Markdown syntax is supported?

Headings, ordered/unordered lists, bold, italic, inline code, code blocks, blockquotes, tables, links and horizontal rules are supported.
