About this tool

This case converter quickly switches text between cases and naming styles: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, and the developer favorites camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case. Changing them by hand is slow and error-prone; here it is a single click.

It is especially handy for normalizing variable names, field names, file names and config keys. Every conversion runs locally in your browser, and your text is never uploaded.

How to use

  1. Type or paste the text you want to convert.
  2. Choose a target format: UPPER, lower, Title Case, camelCase, snake_case or kebab-case.
  3. Review the converted result.
  4. Copy the result and paste it into your code, document or spreadsheet.

When to use it

  • Normalize variable, function and constant naming in code.
  • Convert database fields between snake_case and camelCase.
  • Format titles or names into proper Title Case.
  • Clean up text copied from elsewhere with inconsistent casing.

FAQ

What is the difference between camelCase and snake_case?

camelCase capitalizes each subsequent word with no separator (userName); snake_case is all lowercase joined by underscores (user_name). Each is favored by different languages or team conventions.

Does conversion change my actual content?

It only changes letter casing and word separators; it does not add or remove the underlying words.

Does it work with Chinese?

Case is a concept for alphabetic languages; Chinese has no upper/lower case, so the tool targets English and Latin-script text.
