About this tool

This dedupe and sort tool works line by line: it removes duplicate lines, sorts alphabetically, reverses order, drops blank lines, and trims leading and trailing whitespace. A messy list or log can be cleaned up in a few clicks.

It is ideal for tidying email lists, word lists, ID lists and keyword sets. Processing happens locally in the browser and nothing is uploaded, so you can paste in large amounts of data without privacy worries.

How to use

  1. Paste your text, one item per line, into the input box.
  2. Choose the operations you need: dedupe, sort, reverse, drop blanks or trim whitespace.
  3. Review the processed result.
  4. Copy the result for your next step.

When to use it

  • Merge several lists or email sets and remove the duplicates.
  • Tidy keywords, tags or word lists by deduping and sorting.
  • Strip blank lines and stray spaces from logs or exported data.
  • Sort a list alphabetically to make it easier to scan.

FAQ

Is deduplication case-sensitive?

By default it usually treats only identical lines as duplicates, so different casing counts as different lines. Refer to the options on the page.

Does it change the content within a line?

Dedupe and sort do not alter the text in a line; only the trim option removes whitespace at each line's ends.

Can it handle very large lists?

Moderately large lists process smoothly. Since it all runs locally, extremely large inputs may be limited by your device memory.
