About this tool
This 3D model viewer lets you open and inspect common formats — STL, OBJ, GLTF, GLB and PLY — straight in the browser, with no professional software to install. Drag to orbit the view and scroll to zoom, so you can size up a model from every angle in seconds.
You can toggle wireframe versus solid display and adjust the background and lighting to examine faces, edges and overall structure. Models render locally via WebGL and files are never uploaded — which matters for unreleased 3D-print designs or commercial assets.
How to use
- Drag in or choose a STL / OBJ / GLTF / GLB / PLY model file.
- Left-drag to orbit, scroll to zoom, and pan to inspect details.
- Toggle wireframe or solid mode to check mesh faces and edges.
- Adjust background color and lighting to see the surface more clearly.
- Confirm the model looks correct, or load another file to compare.
When to use it
- Preview a model before 3D printing to confirm shape, orientation and integrity.
- You received an STL / OBJ file but have no modeling software installed and want a quick look.
- Check a downloaded model for broken faces, missing parts or odd proportions.
- Show a rotatable 3D model directly in a web page for teaching or demos.
FAQ
Is my model file uploaded?
No. The file is parsed and rendered locally in your browser and is never sent to any server.
Does it support textured models?
GLTF / GLB usually carry materials and color and display correctly; STL has no color and shows as a single-color solid.
Can I edit the model with it?
It is a viewer focused on browsing and inspection; it does not edit geometry. Use dedicated modeling software to make changes.
