About this tool

This online screen recorder lets you record your screen or webcam right in the browser — no software to install. Capture the whole screen, a single window or a browser tab, optionally with microphone audio, then preview and export a webm video file on the page.

It suits demos, tutorials, meeting clips, gameplay and intro videos. Everything is recorded locally on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server.

How to use

  1. Choose a source — screen or camera — and whether to include the microphone.
  2. Click Start recording; for screen, pick the screen/window/tab to share in the dialog.
  3. Pause/resume during recording, then click Stop when finished.
  4. Preview below and click Download video to save a webm file.

When to use it

  • Record a software walkthrough or feature demo for colleagues or clients.
  • Make tutorial videos or screen-recorded guides.
  • Capture a clip from a meeting, livestream or online class.
  • Record an intro or message video with your webcam.

FAQ

Is the recording uploaded?

No. Recording happens entirely on your device; the video data is not sent to any server, and the exported file is saved locally.

Why does Start do nothing or error?

Screen recording needs an HTTPS context and your permission. Make sure you’re on an https site, clicked Share in the system dialog, and use desktop Chrome/Edge/Firefox.

Why is the export webm, not MP4?

The browser recording API (MediaRecorder) mainly supports webm. Most players and editors read webm; convert to MP4 afterward if you need it.
